Don’t talk about it.

Be about it.

Let’s learn how to experience the vast array of human emotions resiliently. Rather than starting at the beginning, let’s start with the now and move into positive and creative solutions to build the future you want. We will discuss what is in your control, what you need to let go, and how to live authentically.

My philosophy

  • Small change generates BIG change. It only takes one person in the family to be the catalyst for change in the system.

  • You will ALWAYS find exactly what you are looking for. So look for what you WANT rather than what you don’t want.

  • We don’t always need to go back to your childhood. If that is relevant to how you are living now then it will come up and we can use that information, but I find it most helpful to start developing the life you want to be living starting NOW and move forward from there.

  • Be weird. It’s more fun that way and you WILL find your people.

About Me

Personally

I was a pretty crazy teenager and my mom cursed me for it. She said, “I hope you have 100 just like you,” and now I love helping adolescents and their families through some of the toughest years of their life. I decided to be the therapist I never had. I truly love my career, helping others realize what amazing people they are. I too have struggled with depression, anxiety, recovery, codependency, ADHD, divorce, grief, trauma, feeling lost and purposeless, disordered eating and all the beautiful and sometimes painful events that life brings us.

Today, I live a full and imperfect life. I read fantasy novels, go to Crossfit, ride my horse Rush, spend a lot of time outside with my dog Clover, and enjoy hiking trips, live music, and most importantly…food. I may have been pretty wild back in the day, but today my favorite Friday night is eating pizza in bed and watching The Great Bristish Baking Show and I’m not even sorry about it.

Professionally

I graduated from Texas A&M University class of 2008 with a BA in Literature and Minor in Psychology. I taught 7th grade English for one year before deciding that I loved the kids, but didn’t love public education. I obtained my LCDC while working for Memorial Hermann Prevention and Recovery Center running the adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program. While there, I realized I wanted to develop my skill set further to help families with more than recovery skills. I graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2016 with my LMFT and LPC licenses. I have worked for Archway Academy as their Program Director and PDAP as their Clinical Director before becoming a Clinical Director of a group practice in Houston for over 5 years. After life getting pretty lifey, I decided simplify was the word of the year and I opened my private practice in June 2023 offering unique services such as walk & talk therapy serving the teens, young adults, and adults in the community where I grew up.
