Purpose of Supervision
The purpose of clinical supervision is to support the supervisee in developing clinical competence, ethical decision-making, and professional identity while working toward independent licensure in the State of Texas.
Supervision will include review of:
Clinical cases
Treatment planning
Ethical and legal considerations
Professional development
Clinical documentation
Self-of-the-therapist awareness
Supervision will follow all requirements set forth by the appropriate regulatory authority under the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC) and applicable licensing board rules.
I utilize the Socratic method to gently challenge you to think through cases while providing guidance and support when case conceptualizing so you feel confident and competent in treating your clients.
